Under The Light

Have you ever had a wound and decided to cover it up immediately without airing it? Have you seen what happens? Yeah right! It gets soft, begins to fester with gems and before long, starts to get rotten. Now that is a really terrible thing as it could result in amputation or death worst still, which no one prays for.  But the thing is we don’t always have to pray for things before they happen, es
pecially the bad ones, some of which happen out of carelessness or ignorance.

Now just like that covered wound deteriorates, so do we, when we cover up horrible stuff. I hear people say, “We all have secrets”. Well, we all don’t need to have secrets especially the ones that could fester and become mortal. We all have ugly stuff we are not proud of but that’s what makes us human. Too many of us die in silence weighed down by guilt on issues; masturbation, homosexuality, premarital sex, incest, rape, etc, all hidden under our skin and we pretend to be doing just fine.

If only we could fully comprehend the extent of harm that is being done.
Millions of youths battle with these vices daily yet sit and even begin to get comfortable with them because we have successfully covered it up in the dark but you’ve got to realize that the more you cover it up, the more rotten it becomes, and mind you, the rottenness on the inside, smells out pretty soon.

True freedom is the ability to stand before God and man with nothing to be ashamed of; the ability to say “and so”? The ability to tell someone “hey, I walked that path once, but I’m out and I can help you”. Come on guys, we all face this but if we remain silent about it and maintain our sanctimonious outward look, we are going to be amputated from everything that is good and decent, starting with Divinity. Can’t imagine how terrible that is... You should know that you are not alone in this, you should know that you can and need to get out of it. There is a way out; Put it under the light! Let it out to the ears and eyes of genuine godly friends who have your interest at heart. Because in the light, darkness losses its power.
